And yes, we did sit in the Baylor section, in case you noticed the band. After the game we went to Carney's. We almost thought Carney's was going out of business because no one was there. But then we realized it was 9 o'clock and no one goes out that early in college. But in honor of being there, we got Ace Pear (which I am not sure why, but we used to call Pear Ace). Natalie and I laughed about our Ace Pear the whole time and how every freshman girl started off drinking that at Carney's. Then we saw a guy buy an entire pitcher of Ace Pear. Trying to impress the ladies?
Of course, we took a picture in our one and only stall at Carney's. If you've ever been, you will notice they painted the walls green! But obviously, that doesn't stop people from still writing on them. (Sorry we didn't get one of me scaling the wall, but it was only 9 o'clock!)Then we landed at the Sigma Chi house. They had a party that night themed, "Snowed In 2009." I actually thought it was a great idea for a party. Everyone dressed as if they had been snowed in for the day with either their pajamas or their warm winter clothes. They had the entire walk up lined in Christmas (looking) trees.

Inside they had an impressive "build" as well (haha...when is the last time you heard that?)! They built an igloo around the bar. You literally had to go inside the igloo to get a drink (it was warm in there too, I see why igloos work)!

They built a two-story gingerbread house as well. A guy stood at the top and poured beer down a beer bong the entire night.
Here's a picture of just the party.
We had a good time! But I definitely felt old. I have a feeling that might be my last frat party. And I'm really not sad about that.

I had a very serious hangover. But I had to tough it out and get home by a decent time because I had already bought my ticket to go see New Moon with my roommate and Emily (make fun if you want). But it was the roughest movie I ever sat through. I was already nauseous, but they had to make it worse by having several scenes where they would whirl the camera around over and over. Then all the teenage girls screaming at the sight of Jacob or Edward. We had a kid sitting directly behind us that insisted on repeating any line that the crowd laughed at, which had the effect of making the comments not funny anymore. I think in the future I will refrain from going to the movies with a hangover or where the target audience is teenage girls.
But I need to get to bed. I am running a Turkey Day 10K tomorrow, and then it is the moment of doom. I am actually almost excited about it because in 24 hours (hopefully way less) this will all be done and nothing but a memory.
Which I will, of course, blog about (whether good or bad).

can't wait to hear about your Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteOh man- I definitely laughed out loud at several points during this entry. A "BUILD" hahaha and why DID we say Pear Ace??
