Bats!!!

Well this explains why I haven't had a mosquito bite at home in years!

A few nights ago I went out on my porch and was surprised to see a swarm of bats flying over! I mean, I am no bat expert, but I am pretty sure when it's dusk and you see swarms of something flying over and you hear their high-pitched squeaking, their bats. The fact that I live in Austin where bats live, also makes it very likely that I saw correctly.

If you watch this video, you will hear a bird from the beginning and all throughout the video, but when you see the bats the closest, then you can hear their sounds, which to me sounds like squeaky breaks. I am not sure where they are coming from, but I doubt they fly all the way from Congress bridge (where they are known to live) all the way here still in a group like that. What I think is more possible is they live under the bridge on I-35 that is just beyond the tree line, where you see the highway in the video. But this is just my hunch...
