It's Back...

After SEVERAL people asking why I hadn't blogged in a while and some thinking on my own of where I wanted to go with my blog, I have finally decided to resume blogging.

I can't promise I will be blogging near as much as I once did. Let's face it, with a boyfriend that lives on the other side of town, a best friend moving in two weeks, a new Kindle to enjoy reading with and the work project (Remember "All that Ligustrum?") I've taken on; I just don't think I have the time for blogging like I used to. And I've made an aggrement with myself to have less links and photos, as to save time and stress with the whole blogging experience.

Speaking of the Kindle...I did read a good book on it while I was away! My aunt had recommended it to me based on my liking of "My Sister's Keeper." The book is called "South of Broad" by Pat Conroy. I have to warn you though, it has some heavy and filthy subject matter. But it is written well and the moral character of the main character makes up for all of that. It was my first Kindle book, and I have to admit, I was curious as to what this book looked like. I was very unsure as to how many pages the book actually was (since you can change the size of the font and the width of the text). I didn't even know what the book looked like (though you can look at the front cover, it wasn't enough, I wanted to look at the book as a whole entity). So I definitely stopped by the bookstore to check it out. It was shocking to me because when I saw the book I definitely don't think I would have ever in a million years picked it up and bought it. Looked like something someone my mom's age would read, which explains why my aunt would read it. But she was right at suggesting it to me!

Onto the other technology I last blogged about that I aquired, the iPhone. LOVE IT. But I am not going to go on forever about that. But, Chelsea gave me an auxilary cable to connect it to my car (have been meaning to get one of those for the past 3 years I have owned my car). Not only can I listen to my iPod music now, but because of the wonderful app called, "I Heart Radio," I now have Kidd Kraddick in the Morning back!!!

In case you are lost there, that was my favorite radio show. It airs in Dallas, but was broadcasted in Austin until about 6 months ago when they suddenly ripped it off the air. But now...now I can tune into 106.1 in Dallas and listen to the show live. Or, if they are on commercial break or I am on my way home from work, I can tune into "The Kidd Kraddick Channel" and hear more of the show!

The days are just a little brighter now that I have Kidd back in my life!

I think the boyfriend helps a little too...
