Girls Night

This past Saturday my roommate, Jessica, and I decided to have another girls night. It's been months since we last had one even though we both really enjoy it. Our schedules just never work out together. But this past weekend the stars aligned, and we finally had another girls night!

I was so excited I even went out and bought Partini for the event. As well as made guacamole. And I bought most of the supplies and Emily made Peach Sangria. It was girls night done right (if you ask me)!

Seven of us all gathered and we all enjoyed playing various games. We did play Partini, but none of them had ever played before. So I am not sure if they liked it because it can be a lot of rules to the new player of the game. Plus, we always try to play several games, so we didn't have a whole lot of time to play just that one and really get into it.

(Though I was hoping they would love it so much that they wouldn't want to stop. But I don't think they experienced enough of it to get to that point. We cut it short to play another game, Catch Phrase, a true classic in my book.)

The Peach Sangria was a big hit! If anyone has ever had the Peach Sangria at Olive Garden, I think Emily and I have FINALLY perfected the recipe (we've tried on several occasions). Maybe next time we make it I will actually pay attention to what Emily does, write it down and post it!

Later in the evening, Jessica had to go to bed due to having to work early the next day. So the rest of us went downtown to 6th. I can't believe how much time we've spent on Sixth Street lately, it's like we've rekindled an old friendship of sorts.

Here's a picture of Tracee, Emily, Stephanie and myself at The Jackalope/Moose Knuckle (not really sure which since they connected together in the back).

This is one of Stephanie, Tracee, Molly and Emily all making faces. I am sure they were well warranted considering I had twenty new pictures on my camera from that evening, all spanning about a fifteen minute time frame. If you flip through them fast enough, it's almost like watching a video of us at the bar for that fifteen minute time frame. REAL necessary to have taken all those photos. Welcome to the age of digital photography!I further decided to span my photography skills after a heavy nights drinking by getting artistic with this next photograph. Nothing states "serious professional photography" like a photo of your beers lined up at the bar!
But the Jackalope/Moose Knuckle didn't turn out to be great bars. After two incidents happening with our small group, I choose not to give them business anymore.
First, Molly was standing close to a couple of guys that got in a fight (kinda a reason right there, but there is more) and the bouncer thought somehow she was involved. Nothing screams raging fighting hooligan like a cute petite blonde haired girl, you know? But anyways, he grabbed her BY THE KNECK and threw her out! She later snuck back in (cause it was almost time to leave anyways).
Second, Tracee went to the bar to close her tab. The bartender demanded she finish her drink right then. She asked kindly for a little more time and he said, "maybe if you were cute I'd let you." What a jerk! Emily had it right when she said she should've thrown the rest of her beer in the guys face! So if you're even on Sixth, don't go to that place!
Our cab ride home was interesting as well. Our drivers name was Frankie. Coincidence? I think not! That was those stars aligning again. This time just to remind me of the New Yorker I kissed the week before.
We must've been REAL drunk because somehow getting a foot massage by Frankie came up in conversation. Frankie was all for it! Talk about a Relaxy Taxi (aka Relaxy Cab...thanks FRIENDS)!
Also, I was talking to Stephanie about Frankie from the week before (which she did not know and got a big kick out of). After I told her we kissed, Frankie the Cabbie asked, "did ya'll get to second base?"
AWWWW....Frankie! Now you had to go and ruin our Relaxy Taxi hopes and dreams. So much for finally finding that regular cab driver. Better luck next time, though I doubt we'll be lucky enough to get another one named Frankie.
