This past weekend I went to Dallas for the baby shower we threw Liz. I love being around old friends. You just can't ever go wrong. I think Chelsea summed it up well with her blog about the main points of the weekend. Check it out here. I think we put on a beautiful shower!

Since I was in charge of the gift, I was in love with that part the most. My sister-in-law, Jennifer, has a small baby clothing business where her and her mom make all the items in their line. It's called Pixie Dust and Fireflies. They even offered to make Liz her own personal onesie to match the baby's room theme of "Ugly Dolls" (and no I'm not being critical, that is what they are called). Chelsea did say that arguably the "Go Kappa" onesie was the best, I think the ugly doll onesie was the best, arguably, of course.
My favorite part of the weekend would have to be when we went to the bar and they decided we had to celebrate something of mine. This is usual, in Fredericksburg it was my bachelorette party. As well as a few other nights out where I am celebrating various birthdays and bachelorette parties. When they mentioned it again I have to admit I was a little beat down by those. So Chelsea decided it should be my Divorce Party. It's a new and creative one to throw out there, so I thought I'd embrace it. Divorce Party it was. I missed my "shout out" from the DJ by being in the bathroom. But, while we were there Chelsea did convince some poor innocent girl that it was my divorce party. We talked about the "son-of-a-bitch" and his money smuggling (2.1 million I think it was). She said she would come out and dance with us the next time we went, and she did. I did feel a little guilty dancing to "Single Ladies" with the few believers we had as if it was in celebration to being single again, but oh well. Since we missed the first shout out, they convinced the DJ to do another one, this time the bar much more packed. Of course, they had to scream and point at me for the shout out. It was a little embarrassing. I wanted to shout to any of the hot guys around, "I'm not really divorced!" But we were too far deep by this point. So, divorced I was.
It was a good weekend. And yes, Chelsea is telling the truth, we did end the night with, "She's In Love With The Boy." It was the best way to end such a great weekend!
