Diamonds are Forever

Which is a good fact to remember. Especially when you go running and find one just laying on the ground.

A gorgeous large princess cut diamond.

I will say that it provided a lot of entertainment for us on Saturday (which is when I found it).

Between Emily, Travis and I; we pondered and debated on the subject of whether it was real for several hours of the day.

We ceased for the time the Aggies played (Go Aggies!), but just afterward, we continued on.

Until Travis hammered the diamond and nothing happened.

Then Emily bit the diamond (she swears she can tell when something is plastic in her mouth), and she said it definitely wasn't plastic.

At this point I was ecstatic, I had found a real diamond!!!

But I just couldn't fight that doubt, so I finally got the wise idea to wrap the diamond in a towel and then hammer it as hard as I could on the concrete ground.

Yeah, it shattered into a million little pieces.

Just like my dreams, the ones of what I would do with the money from selling the diamond.

But that's cool. Cause now I have a new hobby. Look for diamonds while I run, which is more motivating than anything else.

And hey, if you are looking to entertain people for a while, I know something you could pull out that would start some conversation.

  1. DUDE! YOU SMASHED THE DIAMOND?!?!?!?! What if it was real and you're just THAT strong. Worst move EVER!!! You should have taken it to a jeweler and if it was real, sell it. If fake- have a ring made out of it. No one would ever know. Smashing- no bueno.
